VIRTUAL LESSONS
In response to the Covid-19 outbreak, we have decided to offer our lessons on a virtual platform. Learning music in the comfort of your own home can be a fun, refreshing way to beat the Pandemic Blues!
Here's how it works:
For guitar lessons, position your phone or device in front of you so your instructor can see you and the guitar. Your instructor will then guide you through musical exercises while offering constructive feedback and encouragement along the way.
For voice, position the phone or device in front of you, and have a secondary device to youtube songs to sing along to. Your teacher will guide you and offer feedback as you go through a vocal warm-up and songs.
For Piano, position the phone or device to your right, allowing the teacher to have a clear view of the piano keyboard, and your hands when they are playing. Your teacher will then guide you through your musical exercises.
If you have further questions, please contact us directly, or through the contact form on this webpage.
Lessons are typically divided into 2 sections.
1) Strengthening and warmup exercises that will increase endurance, range and improve tone over time.
2) actual singing of song repertoire with constructive feedback from teacher - songs can be in any musical style.
VOICE
Using the Hal Leonard guitar method books is most common for beginner guitar players. They combine note reading and chords in an easy to follow format. Repertoire of various musical styles can be played along to with chords at a more intermediate level.
GUITAR
Lessons can include sight reading, scales, technique and repertoire. Covering different styles of music provides a fun learning atmosphere for students of all ages.
